Olio Essenziale di Limone Bio

Organic Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon Essential Oil is one of my favorite essences. In recent years I have been fortunate enough to visit Sicily during the citrus blossom season.
There are two experiences that have remained in my heart: the flowering of Lavender in Provence and the flowering of citrus fruits in Sicily in the Noto valley.
Experiences I would like to repeat in my near future.
Scents and colors involve the senses, transporting us to a state of perceptual well-being.
Walking among the lemon trees and among the expanses of blooming lavender reconnects you to nature, its beauty and the joy of living.
From lavender flowers, a variety of Essential Oils are obtained (the famous chemotypes) such as True Lavender, Lavender Spica and Lavandin. From citrus fruits, numerous other Essential oils come. Just think that from the orange alone, 3 are obtained.
Lemon essential oil is obtained by pressing the peel of the fruit. The Essential Oil that I propose to you comes from our Sicily.
It is also known as ACTIVATOR , a real energy boost. Yellow, like the sun, which is our vital energy.
Just open the bottle, close your eyes and inhale. A wave of optimism and energy will involve you. Use it when you need to recharge. With the methods described a few lines below. And always keep it handy.

The lemon, native to northeast India and China, has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine. Lemon trees, scientifically known as Citrus limon , are a hybrid between the bitter orange and the citron.
Lemon essential oil was first extracted from the peels of the fruit, which contain the highest concentration of nutrients, including polyphenols, terpenes, and tannins. The ancient Chinese, Greeks, and Romans documented the use of lemon essential oil for various healing purposes. In the 1st century AD, lemons were introduced to Europe, particularly southern Italy.
In the 16th century, physician and botanist Prospero Alpini first commercially distilled lemon essential oil in Italy. During the Middle Ages, lemons were used by English sailors to treat bacterial infections and scurvy, although they were unaware of the presence of vitamin C at the time.
Lemon essential oil is known for its antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used not only to improve health but also to clean the house, purify the air and as a natural remedy for various ailments.
